Wedding at Lake Garda – Getting married in Italy
As a wedding photographer in Italy, I had the pleasure of photographing this wedding on Lake Garda. From getting ready at the Grand Hotel Liberty in Riva del Garda to the sunset over the lake, the bride and groom had a truly wonderful day. Wedding venues on Lake Garda combine Italian charm with a longing for the mountains. The northern part of the lake is quite mountainous, but the landscape flattens out considerably towards the far end. From there, it’s also not far to Tuscany or Venice.
Getting Ready at the Grand Hotel Liberty
The preparations took place at the Grand Hotel Liberty in Riva del Garda. This beautiful hotel provided us with first-class service and also served as a stunning backdrop for the photos. The entrance area, the staircase, and the courtyard with the pool were among my personal highlights.
Wedding at Lake Garda – Free wedding ceremony
The outdoor wedding ceremony took place by the water. With a view of Lake Garda, the couple exchanged their vows. On the shore is a beautiful park with palm trees and many other lovely flowers and plants. Of course, a classic photo at the Giardini all’Italiana di Punta Lido, overlooking Lake Garda, was also a must.
Wedding celebration in Italy
After the wedding ceremony, the couple enjoyed a carefully selected menu at the hotel. They are both big fans of Italy and were delighted with the delicious food. To drink, they enjoyed a very good white wine from Villa Rizzardi. This traditional winery has been cultivating wine on Lake Garda for many years. The wine was a special request from the bride and groom.
Sunset photoshoot on the boat
At sunset, we went to Limone sul Garda. From there, we took a boat out onto the lake. The bride and groom were able to enjoy many beautiful moments in the setting sun. With Italian music playing, we then drove to Malcesine. There, we took some of the stunning photos in front of the historic Scaliger Castle.
